Apple spice and pumpkin smiles...

Merry Mabon to all. Autumn has arrived and I am deliriously happy for that. C'mon trees - time to put on that make-up and show us how gawgeous you are.

The hubby and I are celebrating our wedding anniversary tomorrow. We aren't doing anything special, other than spending time with each other. I took the evening off from work (yay!)

I've almost completed my sample dishcloth with the bat in the middle. It's so adorable - can't wait to post it. The chart for the pentacle dishcloth is done, so I'm going to start on that one next. Unfortunately, I think I've overdone it with the knitting as my hands are a bit swollen today - so much so that I had to take off my wedding/engagement bands.

We're watching Casino Royale on the telly right now. I think I have most of the dialogue memorized by now. Not voluntarily either ;)

At least I don't make Maroon Sweaters...

This always happens to me.  I get really interested and going on knitting or crochet projects and I don't have the money to continue them, especially when I'm REALLY wanting to.  I've discovered the joy of knitting dishcloths, and am in the middle of mapping out a dishcloth with a pentacle in the middle.  But I have no cotton yarn!  *woe*  I've had to resort to practicing with acrylic in the meantime.  Currently one of my cats is using a completed one as a hat.  He's not impressed.

Watched Silent Hill last night with hubby and mother.  That is one fucked up movie.  I enjoyed it but still...yikes.  At least it had Sean Bean in it to keep my interest *drools*

On a random note, I love having hair so curly that when I braid it into pigtails I don't even need to bind the ends with elastics. :P

  • For a lot of hardwork done over the summer, big bossman gave me and my co-worker $150.00 in gift certificates at Canadian Tire.  Instead of buying something practical I actually splurged and bought myself a digital camera.  I likes my new toy, though the cats do not.  Pictures to come ;)
  • I'm really craving sushi right now.  Lots of sushi.  With enough wasabi to clear out my sinuses.  Oooo and a spicy shrimp roll.  *okay am stopping now because this is very cruel to my appetite*
  • Neville is proving to be quite difficult to write at the moment - damn his conscience.  I wish he'd be a good little wizard and enjoy the smut that I am writing him in.
  • Completed map of Hogsmeade for [info]darkesthour_rpg and found an excellent source for Diagon Alley, Godric's Hollow and Ottery St. Catchpoole.  It's a good thing I love making maps.  Other details are coming along quite nicely - hopefully can start sending out notices by the end of October.
  • I am really enjoying all of these "20 Random Facts of..." that are popping up all over the place.  I'm very fond of character exploration and wonder if I should do one...
  • My Ravenclaw circa film 3 scarf is progressing rather fast.  Wish I had circular knitting needles but hindsight is 20/20.  Will most likely fold it in half and stitch it.  I'm pretty sure it will still be wide enough for practical use.  I need to get more yarn to complete my Gryffindor afghan.
  • The husband and I have been catching Spaced on the Showcase channel on Sunday nights.  I am really, really starting to have a crush on Simon Pegg I think.  Plus, Nick Frost in a pink spandex top and porn 'stach is...interesting.
