At least I don't make Maroon Sweaters...
This always happens to me.  I get really interested and going on knitting or crochet projects and I don't have the money to continue them, especially when I'm REALLY wanting to.  I've discovered the joy of knitting dishcloths, and am in the middle of mapping out a dishcloth with a pentacle in the middle.  But I have no cotton yarn!  *woe*  I've had to resort to practicing with acrylic in the meantime.  Currently one of my cats is using a completed one as a hat.  He's not impressed.

Watched Silent Hill last night with hubby and mother.  That is one fucked up movie.  I enjoyed it but still...yikes.  At least it had Sean Bean in it to keep my interest *drools*

On a random note, I love having hair so curly that when I braid it into pigtails I don't even need to bind the ends with elastics. :P

I'd buy one of those dishclothes with a pentacle on it :) And supply the cotton yarn, too. In November, when I have extra money.

LOL I'm not that destitute - by Thursday I think I can shell out $5 for some cotton yarn, it's just when the inspiration strikes yeah?

First I have to see how this will turn out. I'll be sure to post a completed pentacle dishcloth for everyone to see. There's a pattern with a bat in the middle that I really want to try out too - it's rather adorable.

I'm looking forward to seeing how the dishcloth works out. Sounds like a nice pattern.

Check out Joann Fabrics or Joann Etc. If you have one in your area. They carry the extra large skeins of kitchen cotton including Bernat's organic cotton. (I scored a skein of the pale turquoise the last time I went shopping there)

Oooooo thanks for the tip! When the hubby and I are visiting friends in MI this November for Thanksgiving, I'm definately taking a trip over to Joann's. I love that store - I wish we had one here in Ontario *pouts* All we have is a Walmart that carries piddly little skeins of cotton.

Though, I haven't checked Michael's out yet.

Michael's has a nice selection of yarns. Sometimes they get larger skeins of the kitchen cotton.
I prefer going to Hobby Lobby if I'm not in the mood to go to my lys. For a chain store, Hobby Lobby has a large selection of yarns and the local one carries imports from Mexico along with some fantastic woolens from Canada. The wool only comes in randomly. I think they may be picking up lots from a place like Elan, because there is never a large enough quantity of the wool to make a sweater.
