I find their pigeonholing as a whole to be off putting. Essentially, they are telling potential writers how they can play a character before even applying for it - putting limitations on people like that in an rpg just doesn't work for me. I'm all for regulations and guidelines, but don't tell me how gay or not gay my character can be.
